At minimum, you need one project management tool (Jira, Asana, or Linear) and one communication tool (Slack or Teams). Connecting GitHub is optional but recommended for PR tracking and code commits.
Initial setup takes just a few minutes to connect your tools and configure projects you'd like to track. DevHawk then ingests all the data, automatically calculates the complexity of each task it finds, and starts providing insights and alerts from there.
No, DevHawk augments your PM, not replaces them. It handles 24/7 monitoring and routine follow-ups, freeing your PM to focus on strategy, stakeholder communication, prioritization, and high-value decisions. Think of it as an always-on assistant that never sleeps.
DevHawk integrates transparently with existing tools - developers don't change their workflow or learn new systems. We track outcomes (story points, PRs merged) not activity (time spent). Most teams appreciate the reduced meeting overhead and clearer expectations.
DevHawk measures failure conditions unique to each stage of the software development life cycle. When blockers occur, most teams resolve them with a lag - days can be lost waiting for a PR review, or QA feedback, or even sitting without enough work assigned. DevHawk watches for these issues and alerts relevant team members - and when it engages in a conversation, all the resulting knowledge automatically makes it right back to the ticket in question.
We focus on outcome-based metrics: story points completed, velocity trends, PR merge rate, average review time, ticket resolution time, and response times. We do NOT track hours worked, screen time, or keyboard activity.
Yes! You can configure notification preferences by type (blockers, follow-ups, reports), urgency level, delivery channel (Slack, email), and timing. Different team members can have different notification settings based on their role.
Currently: Jira, Asana, Linear, GitHub, Slack and Teams. We're adding Notion, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and more in Q1 2026. See our Features page for the latest list.
DevHawk uses OAuth or PAT authentication. Most integrations support connection via Personal Access Token today, with support to login via OAuth on its way soon.
Yes! DevHawk supports multiple projects, teams, and repos. You can configure separate notification settings and access controls for each project. Perfect for agencies or companies with multiple product lines.
